Advanced Technology

State-of-the-Art Care for Springfield Smiles

Despite his decades of experience, Dr. Hinebaugh is always looking to improve our dental office in whatever way he can, whether this involves educating himself or integrating the latest proven technology. Thanks to his commitment to progress, our patients get to enjoy the absolute best that 21st-century dentistry has to offer, ensuring their care is always fast, comfortable, and effective.

CO2 Dental Laser

Our CO2 dental laser enables us to quickly and painlessly prepare the teeth without using a drill, and it also helps Dr. Hinebaugh perform implant placement surgery in complete comfort. The laser actually cauterizes and sanitizes the treatment area as it goes, making it easy for patients to remain comfortable during any procedure and experience dramatically-faster healing.

3D Cone Beam Imaging

When planning an involved treatment like implant placement or a full-mouth reconstruction, instead of just taking a regular X-ray, we like to use our Prexion CBCT scanner. This amazing device is able to create a highly-detailed 3D model of the teeth, jaw, and supporting oral structures while also revealing the locations of facial nerves and blood vessels. This helps Dr. Hinebaugh come up with extremely precise treatment plans that guarantee a successful procedure as well as an easy recovery.

All-Digital X-Rays

We use X-rays every single day in our dental office to help us look at the teeth and bone hidden beneath the gum line, and to make this common tool even better, we’ve gone all digital. Digital X-rays are much sharper compared to traditional film, are easier to view and share, they take a fraction of the time to create, and they don’t require toxic chemicals to develop. Plus, the process of capturing them exposes patients to 90% less radiation, which helps our patients receive safe care.

Vizilite™ Oral Cancer Screening

Research has shown that early oral cancer detection saves lives. In over 90% of cases, oral cancer can be cured if it is caught in its earliest stages. VizLite Plus is a unique type of light technology that helps dentists identify soft tissue abnormalities. The entire VizLite Plus examination takes only minutes and does not involve any discomfort or intrusion. The dentist or oral hygienist generally performs the VizLite procedure after the visual part of a routine dental checkup.
